The 25 pounder field gun, the back bone of the British and Commonwealth Armies in the Second World War. The gun continued into frontline service with many nations well into the 1960s, and remains the ceremonial gun for many nation’s military, as well as being employed in many brush-fire wars in the 1960s and 1970s. This model includes the two wheeled ammo limber that was used to carry the ready ammunition with the gun, both being pulled by a Quad or F.A.T. tow vehicle. Options include the earlier barrel without the muzzle brake (the Mark II) and one with the later muzzle brake, required to fire the super-charge ammunition introduced in 1942. So, a gun fighting in the Western Desert would normally have the barrel without the muzzle brake; later models post late 1942 would have the muzzle brake barrel.

No crew gun only - crew purchased separately.  Specify which barrel otherwise with muzzle brake will be printed.
